Sometimes the fun in the development process is the design solution for the clients' need to be created on the site to be used.  This parcel presented issues with The Department Of Ecology, Fisheries, steep slopes and Washington State Shorelines.  The site was bounded by a stream/sensitive area to the rear, which was 30+feet below grade from the front of the site, which in turn was at street grade; the center of the site was 15+ feet higher than the street and the edge of the adjoining site which we needed connection to, which was four feet lower than the street front.  The result was a building cantilevered over the slope to the rear supported by concrete piling.  The result was a good solution for our client in a market with very few site choices.
